Land(e)scape

The landscapes of my childhood are deeply entrenched in my memories as an anthology of feelings, images and emotions. Most of them do not exist any more. In fact, most of Israel has been dramatically transformed. Some places remain intact though, in their glorious genesis-like virgintiy. They are in my work. They epitomize the relationship with my origins. In the proches i designed, landscapes from my childhood are transfigured into a whole new material dimension. Landscapes are a blend of smells, textures, and colours, all wrapped in the sound of silence. They are an aggregate of scattered details, and such tiny details are my way of experirncing the world.
